Firecracker 5K - July 4th
Each year, hundreds of athletes kick off their July 4th celebrations with a bang by walking, running and racing by wheelchair at the Firecracker 5K. The 2008 event hosted 979 participants and raised over $31,000. Thank you to all sponsors, volunteers and participants for making this event such a success. Volunteers start at 5:30 am to set up the course and begin race day registration. We couldn’t have this event without all of our dedicated volunteers!

The Firecracker 5K starts in downtown Pensacola at 7:30 am. Free beverages and food are provided for all participants and tank shirts are guaranteed to the first 500 registrants. Awards are given for top runners, walkers and wheelchair racers overall and in age divisions. Please contact the House at 850-477-2273 for additional race information.
